Do students in high school want to know computers? Do they feel they have to know computers? And if so, who is deciding they have to know computers, and why are they deciding so? Do students handle computers? Where and why? Who teaches them about computers, and what do they want to achieve by handling computers? Do they believe that knowing computers will matter later, when they start working? How will knowledge about computers or lack of knowledge about computers give them an advantage, a disadvantage or make no difference? How much do students think is an appropriate amount of knowledge about computers? Why do they consider that an appropriate amount?
I believe that boys and girls will answer these questions differently, and I believe that the answers will be more similar if students experience computers as fun in school, that teaching about computers also includes fun stuff, like gaming.
